How to Play

Before the game begins, players should decide how long the game will last. The game can be played to a time limit such as 30 minutes or for a set number of rounds.

At the beginning of the game, one player is chosen to be banker for the first round, and a different player is chosen to roll the dice. In each subsequent round, the next players in clockwise order become the banker and the dice roller.

Each round of Under and Over Seven plays as follows. While one player typically bets against the banker at a time, multiple players can join in if each uses unique-colored chips or keeps track of their own bets.

1. Place Your Bets
   Each player chooses one of the three betting options:
   
   
   • Under 7: Bet that the dice total will be less than 7.
   • 7: Bet that the dice total will be exactly 7.
   • Over 7: Bet that the dice total will be more than 7.

2. Roll the Dice
   Once all bets are placed, the dice-rolling player rolls both dice and adds the results.
    
3. Determine the Outcome
   The banker pays out based on the roll result and each players' bets:
   
   
   • Under 7: If the total is under 7, the banker pays 2 for 1 on this bet. If not, the player loses their chips.
   • 7: If the total is exactly 7, the banker pays a higher payout of 5 for 1. Otherwise, the player loses.
   • Over 7: If the total is over 7, the banker pays 2 for 1. If not, the player loses.

When a round ends, play then proceeds to the next round. The game ends after the predetermined time or number of rounds. The winner is the player with the most chips.

Example Turn

Let’s say a player bets two chips on the number 7. They roll a 3 and a 4, for a total of 7. Since they bet on 7 and rolled exactly that, the banker pays out 5 for 1, meaning the player receives 10 chips in total—8 in winnings plus their original 2-chip bet back.
